As we have seen in last few years Android took over IOS, why? we would say mainly because of the number of customization that Android allows than IOS. Being an android users you would want many customization to your phone as per your need. You would like some of the phones but not their UI. So can we have an option to do that? can we have an option to customize my phone as per my need? certain phones has limited space so can we uninstall pre installed apps which we hardly use?

Well answer is YES, just "ROOT YOUR ANDROID PHONE"

You may or may not have heard of rooting, and even if you have, the process can sound bit scary to you.  But you don’t have to be a programmer to root your device, trust me, and there are some benefits that are really worth considering. So what is rooting process, is it safe to root your phone. lets find out an answer....

Rooting is a process by which you can take 'Superuser' access of you Android device. It allows users to open the hidden files such as system files to tweak a bit as per their needs. its similar to running a program as a Administrator on your windows PC.

You may think you don't require to root your phone, but you would surprised at how much you can get with this little work. some of the reasons to root your phone:
  • Unlock Hidden files
  • Boost your Phones Speed and Battery life
  • Block all unwanted ads in any app
  • Remove All Pre Installed crap that eats your phones memory
  • Flash Custom ROM and Kernel
  • Install Applications to your SD Card
  • Upgrade Android operating system
  • Use your phone the way you want to.
There are tons of phones available in the market. some of the rooting process might work on multiple phones, but there is no one size fits all method of rooting every phone. Before you start rooting process there are some of words you need to know..
  • ROOT: root is having a superuser access of your device
  • ROM: its a modified version of Android which contains extra feature, different look, speed enhancement and so on..
  • Kernel: A kernel is the component of your operating system that manages communications between your software and hardware. it will help you to improve your phones speed, battery life etc..
  • Flash: flash is installing something on your device
  • Brick: Brick means to brick your phone during flashing a custom Rom. While flashing a Rom if your phone becomes unable to function then that means you have bricked your phone. There's always a small risk of bricking your device in root process.
  • Recovery: its a software that allows you to take back up, flash ROM etc..
One of the best place to start your Rooting of your phone is XDA Forum which contains number of ROM information about almost all the phones available in the market. Simply check out your device and check the development forum.

What are the Risks of rooting
  • Rooting will void your phones warranty
  • It could brick your phone, but pretty unlikely
Rooting your Android device can be a fun process. If successful, it will give you freedom and complete control to take your phone to a whole new level of function. I do recommend that you do exercise carefully to ensure the rooting process goes as smoothly as possible.
